Sightseeing in beautiful Cape Town

Table Mountain as seen from Blouberg

Table Mountain, with Devils Peak to the left and Lions Head and Signal Hill to the right, dominates many pictures capturing the beauty of Cape Town.

The sight of this massif mountain raising so close to the sparkling white beaches is simply stunning, isn't it?

Waterfront - Photos of Cape Town

My favorite view across the Waterfront with Table Mountain in the background.

Cape Grace Hotel at the V&A Waterfront

The five star luxury Cape Grace hotel at Cape Town’s Waterfont was voted among the Top 22 hotels worldwide by Travel and Leisure Magazine readers.

Clock Tower at the Waterfront

The Clock Tower is one of the most photographed sights in Cape Town. The bright red painted building from 1882 once was used by the harbour master.

Next to the Clock Tower you will find the Nelson Mandela Gateway, where the ferries to Robben Island depart.

V&A Waterfront Shops and Restaurants

The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is Cape Town's big open air shopping and entertainment district. Here you will find many specialist and designer stores and you will be spoilt for choice when choosing a coffee shop, bar or restaurant.

There is life entertainment in this pedestrian zone and in many restaurants too.

Hout Bay at the Atlantic Ocean

Hout Bay Harbour

Hout Bay or Hout Baai (meaning “Wood Bay” relating to the surrounding forests) is situated in a valley approximately 20 minutes from the Cape Town’s city center and has a great white beach.

At the harbour there are many great seafood restaurants where you can enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner. Hout Bay lays at the foot of the world famous Chapman’s Peak Drive.

Muizenberg at the Indian Ocean

Colorful Beach Huts at Muizenberg Beach

Muizenberg on the False Bay, half an hours drive from Cape Town is famous for its colorful beach huts.

There are more of these beautiful houses to be found on St. James Beach, which is just some kilometers to the south of Muizenberg.

False Bay on the Indian Ocean is renowned for its great whale-watching along the coastline, too.

Simonstown - Boulders Beach

In Simonstown, just an hours drive south of Cape Town, you can visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach , even swim with these cute creatures or have a nice cup of coffee in one of the many restaurants and coffee shops there.

Bo-Kaap - Cape Malay Quarter

Colorful Bo-Kaap Houses

The colorful Cape Malay Quarter in the heart of Cape Town can be seen from far. Recently many of the houses from the early settlement of the Cape get restored to its former glory and get painted in the brightest pink, blues and greens you can imagine.

Sunset over Table Mountain

Sunset over Table Mountain

A glorious day draws to an end. The sun is setting over Table Mountain. Here captured from the upper parking deck of Canal Walk Shopping Center in Century City.
