• Cape Town:  V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre Concert and Fireworks. 31 December 2019. Starts at 18h00. With fireworks at Midnight. Free entrance with lots of entertainment with live bands in four activity zones: earth, wind, fire and water. Parking is probably best in the Silo district or Breakwater Parking from Beach Road entrance. Quite busy and crowded, but what better start into 2020 could you wish for? 

• Cape Town, Newlands: Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens New Years Eve Concert 2019. Open air concert with Freshlyground and Native Young in one of the city's most wonderful settings. Gates open at 19h00 on 31 December 2019 until 0h15 on 1 January 2020. Tickets are R435 for entry and concert. 

• Cape Town, Sea Point: New Years Eve Ball 2019. Celebrate the beginning of the New Year 2019 in style at Harvey's at the Winchester Mansions. Dinner, dance and entertainment. Starting at 18h30 with sundowners around the pool. Tickets from R1995. More info.

• Cape Town, V&A Waterfront: Cape Town Comedy Club - New Years Eve Party at the pump house.  From 21h00. tbc. Tickets include show, welcome drink and a glass of bubbly for the countdown. 

• Cape Town, CBD: Alcazar NYE. New years celebration on three dance floors from 16h00 - 4am. Tickets: From R390, VIP Access from R600. Promises to be a magical night with various stage performances. No under 21s. 

• Cape Town, Foreshore: NYElectric 2020. At the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel 'Harald's Bar and Terasse' from 20h00 - 2am. Tickets: R750.

• Cape Town, Table Mountain: Table Mountain New Years Eve. Enjoy a sunset ride on the last day of the old year before hitting the party scene in Cape Town. Please take note: the cable way closes at 21h30 on New Year's Eve.
